The comparison that you made to the fairy godmother representing letting European influence civilize a person is great. The fairy godmother makes Cinderella an elegant person through the possession of luxury items such as carriage, dress, and glass slippers. This comparsion definitely connections with the Europhile Modernity and the idea that Europe can civilize Latin America. I enjoy reading your Disney connections!!
